Running for over 2 seasons now, Babylon Berlin is all set to return to Netflix with a third season. The series revolves around the time of the Weimar Republic in Berlin in 1929.
The first season aired on 13th October 2017 on a German entertainment channel called Sky1. The series comprised 16 episodes, 8 for each season. The third season will go on air on 24th January 2020 on Sky1.
Netflix premiered the season 1 on 30th January 2018 and the second season on 23rd February 2019. However, only three countries have access to this series. They are the US, Canada, and Australia. Season three will be available on Netflix for these three countries only.
There is no confirmed date yet as to when Netflix will release season 3, but we assume it won’t be anytime sooner than 2021 as per the pattern in which season 1 and season 2 released on the platform.
Writers and directors, Henk Handloegten, Achim von Borries, and Tom Tykwer, have come together yet again for the third season. There will be 12 episodes in season three. This season is based on a novel whose title translates to “The Mute death.”
Taking place 10 months after season two, the new season will see the faces of many new actors. Also, Babylon Berlin is sure to return with a season 4! The previous seasons have already set the bar high, and there are a lot of expectations from season 3 as well. The season is rated 8.4/10 in IMDb.
