Black Summer is a dark, gritty and Zombie ridden TV series.

The series takes place in the same universe as that of Z-Nation. Karl Schaefer and John Hyams create the Zombie Apocalypse series. It is produced by The Asylum, an equal company that produced The Asylum. The story revolves around a woman, Rose, who is separated from her daughter during a zombie apocalypse. The second season of the series has been renewed recently.

This series has a unique skip charm on it. Viewers of this series, either hated it or loved it. No one will be left in the middle ground. This series is not like most of the series, like Z-Nation or The Walking Dead. It isn’t funny, nor does it include an ethical point of view.

The story is set up in a period where it is the beginning of the Zombie apocalypse. The days drag on like the soul of the earth is burning up. The people everyday witness a dark and bloody mess. Amid this grappled scenario, a mother happens to lose her lovely child. The mother, Rose, also loses her husband as he gets bitten by a Zombie. The plot in a gist is about Rose uniting with her daughter again.

There is a loss of many characters in the movie. The leading group, which initially consisted of five to six members, drops down to a group of three by the end of the series. Their ultimate aim is to reach the stadium where Rose’s daughter is present. This stadium is a haven from the zombies.

The cast of the series includes Jaime King as Rose. Justin Chu Cary as Julius James. Christine Lee as Ooh “Sun” Kyungsun. Sal Velez Jr. as William Velez. Kelsey Flower as Lance. The filming of the series will take place from January 6th, 2020.
