The story of Woody Harrelson’s Carnage is set to continue in Venom 2, which is currently in development under the direction of Andy Serkis. Tom Hardy’s Venom had hinted at the plot thread of Carnage in the post-credit scene, albeit, the audience only saw Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady.
The film can be expected to follow the character background of Cletus Kasady from the comics as a convict charged with multiple murders by the State of California accompanied by Francis Lewis Barrison, also known as Screech will be.
Allegedly, portrayed by Nom Harris. It is yet to be confirmed if carnage will have sympathy at this point in the film. The film is also expected to explore the violent past of Cletus as a child.
There are also reports of Sony wanting to use Spider-man in the sequel following the company’s recent deal with Disney. Venom 2 can be expected to release during October 2020, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
Tom Hardy will be starring in the venom sequel as many actors are signing multi-film contracts. Michelle Williams is also expected to return for the film as the former wife Anne Weying of Eddie Brock.
Noami Harris is probably a new addition to the cast list, although confirmation is still lacking from the production team as to whether the James Bond star will play the villain Shriek in the Venom 2 or not.
Stephen Graham, Tom hardy’s National Treasure colleague, is also expected to join the cast crew, but the role has not been confirmed yet.
Also, Sony is on a project with a series of superhero movies, so many of Spider-Man’s allies and enemies can be expected to make it into the Venom 2.
