Last we heard about the wife of the Canadian Prime Minister getting infected with the virus. Recently, we got the news about the Prince of Wales getting affected by the Coronavirus. The 71-year-old Prince has shown mild symptoms of the COVID-19 infection.
Prince Charles COVID-19: Prince of Wales in Isolation
Both Charles and Camilla have gone for self-isolation in Balmoral. The Queen told that she saw her son last on March 12 and he was in good health.
According to the statement made by the Clarence House “In accordance with government and medical advice, the Prince and the duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland.
“The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire, where they met the criteria required for testing.
“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.”
Charles arrived in Scotland on Sunday. He seemed to have mild symptoms, so he got tested by the NHS in Aberdeenshire on Monday. The results came out on Tuesday night, showing a positive report.
Prince Charles COVID-19: Further Actions
Charles met the Queen last on March 12 signing a contract during Commonwealth Day Service. To ensure that the Queen is in good health she was moved to Windsor along with Duke of Edinburgh.
According to the notice given to Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, they will go for self-isolation for some time. Charles will carry on with his duty even in the self-isolation period.
Both Charles and Camilla will be staying in Scotland for a few weeks until the symptoms get entirely recovered.
