He died of a heart attack. His wife is Krutika Desai Khan, who is also a theatre and television actress. She rose to fame playing “Mangla” in an early TV series, “Buniyaad.” She has acted in various TV Serials, one of them is “Uttaran,” as a bald widow.
She has involved in “Akansha,” a theatre workshop for street children, and has also acted in several Gujarati Plays.
Amjad Khan also acted with Amitabh Bachchan in many films. One of them is “Laawaris” famous for its song “Mere angne mein tumhara kya kaam hai.” The film was a super hit, and Bollywood blockbuster Krutika Desai has also done a famous show in the star plus serial “Mere Angne Mein.” This is a coincidence that the show was named with the same lyrics of the famous song.
