Alex Trebek was born on July 22, 1940, a Canadian-American T.V celebrity and an actor. He is hosting a popular game show named “Jeopardy” since 1984. He also hosted a number of other game shows like- ‘The Wizard of Odds,’ ‘Double Dare,’ ‘High Rollers,’ ‘Battle stars,’ ‘Classic concentration’ & ‘To Tell the Truth.’
He was born in Canada and later became an American citizen in 1998. He signed a contract to host the game show ‘Jeopardy’ until 2022. He was initially married to Elaine Callie in 1974, who was a businesswoman and got divorced in 1981 and later married Jean Currivan, real estate project manager from New York in 1990. The couple had two children named Matthew and Emily.
Alex’s Health Issue
On December 11, 2007, Alex suffered from a minor heart attack, and he soon returned to work in January as per his planned schedule.
And again suffered from a mild heart attack in June 2012 and returned to work within a very short span of time, i.e., July, just after a month of the attack. In 2018, it was announced that Alex is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is in stage 4. He went through chemotherapy and was soon back to work!
Recently a complication was found in his treatment, and he had to restart his chemotherapy. On CTV, he told me that he has begun to get sores inside his mouth and stated that it is very difficult for him to enounce.
He also told that he could hear himself stammering on the show and claimed that he would continue hosting until his skills get diminished. Unfortunately, his contract with the popular show Jeopardy will be ended soon, and fans will miss him on the screen.
Let’s pray for his speedy recovery!!!
