The immensely popular American series, The Witcher, is coming back on Netflix with a second season. The Witcher is the perfect combination of genres like- fantasy, drama, action, and adventure. It is based on a novel of the same name, by Andrzej Sapkowski. The first season of this show aired on Netflix on December 20, 2019, and is comprised of 8 episodes. Even before the first season was premiered, the announcement regarding the confirmation of the season was made.

The Witcher: About The Show

The story of The Witcher is set in a place called Continent and revolves around Geralt of Riviera, a hunter with unique abilities. By profession, he is a witcher, that is, he kills monsters and beasts for money. He finds it hard to fit in because the people he is with are worse than the monsters.

The makers of The Witcher Season 2 have confirmed that in a way similar to season 1, the new season will also focus on individual short stories. The makers said they wanted to explore the characters even more and give an insight to the fans into the lives of the characters.

The makers of The Witcher season 2 have yet not confirmed a release day. The show is still in the production phase, but due to the ongoing pandemic situation, production has been paused. We can expect that season 2 will release sometime in 2021 and not before that. As far as the trailers are concerned, no trailer has been released yet.
A source has confirmed that in the upcoming season, some queer representation can be done. Can we expect that Geralt will realize his feelings towards Jaskier and then confess it to him?

One thing is for sure, season 2 will be intense and a little less confusing than the first season.
