The highly anticipated season 2 of The Promised Neverland has been confirmed. It is a Manga adaptation written by Kaiu Shirai. Fans have been excited for The Promised Neverland season 2 since it was due to release in 2020. Ever since the anime series premiered in early 2019, it became an instant hit among the viewers.

Watching the second season has become a necessity for fans of the anime series who are eagerly waiting to know what happens next after the characters Emma, Ray, and other children escape Grace Field House into the Forest of Demons.

Promised Neverland Season 2 Release Date

It is been a year since the first season premiered back in March 2019. The premiere of the new season is set for October 2020, for the joy of all the eager fans. But considering the ongoing situation of COVID-19 pandemic, the release of the new season could be postponed. But the fans keeping the hopes high, expect at least the filming of the series to be completed by October 2020, whether it releases by then or not.

The cast of the second season is essentially identical to the first season. The Orphans, Emma will be voiced by Sumire Morohoshi, Ray voiced by Mariya Ise, Norman voiced by Maaya Uchida will be back, Caretakers, Demons, the Ratri clan, and various others will appear in the second season as well.

Promised Neverland Season 2 Plot

The first season of the series shows that the orphanage children live together happily in an orphanage. As the plot of the first season, the children escape the orphanage only to end up in the ‘Demon Forest’. There are obvious reasons for it being evil and called ‘demon forest’. In the second season, we may learn more about the forest and what the children come across while being there.

Also, for the second season, the creators revealed that they will put more emphasis on whether Emma will keep the assurance she had made in the first season. producer Kenta Suzuki revealed that season 2 will be different from season 1. Unlike the first season which was more about the children’s struggles with the escape, season 2 will have more of their encounters with the evil outside.
