Blend S is a Japanese Manga series by Miyuki Nakayama. Originally run on October 8, 2017, and has about 12 episodes now and over six tankōbon volumes it has recently been licensed by the North America board to be aired globally. The story revolves around a young girl who tries her luck to find a part-time job to study abroad. The Overview of Blend S Season 2
Blend S revolves around 16-year-old Maika Sakuranomiya, who is trying her best to find a part-time job to fund her studies abroad. Because of her sadistic look when she smiles, she doesn’t get through any of the interviews. However later an Italian man who is the manager of the Stile, the owner of a café offers her a job to serve customers of the masochist types due to her looks.
They also term her as the “sadistic girl” waitress, due to this she reaches an unstable and unapologetic state of anger by the way the customers treat her. On the whole, Maika seems to still focus on funding her studies and supporting her family by herself which also causes her to start developing interests in various things. Maika is the main lead of the series and she loves to play games and show interest in a lot of things despite her being put down for the way she looks by people. On the other hand, she is also a very cheerful and carefree person who doesn’t show her anger outside and maintains a calm persona in front of her customers to save her job.
Dino is the Italian Manager who works at the café. He is often accused by people for coming out as a pervert and openly gets caught for showing feelings for Maika.
Kaho, a 17-year-old waitress at the same café is also another energetic young girl who often attracts a large number of crowds with her skills and interests in playing video games and arcades. She has a dynamic personality and keeps up a good bond with her customers.
Mafuyu, a 20-year-old waitress also a college student looks all petite but has a good amount of maturity in her. She isn’t very verbal with her emotions but the only thing which excites her is anime. Miu, a 22-year-old waitress who is the eldest of them and acts as a sisterly figure. She has a huge interest in art and Dojinshi, which was noticed by Dino. Blend S Season 2 Will be coming soon!
Hideri is a 16-year-old waiter who is a boy but dresses up as a girl and wants to be an idol one day. He is often seemed to be bragging about his fans and himself being cute. Although he comes out as a joyful and energetic character it looks like there is some sort of vain that he is hiding from.
Aika is Maiku’s older sister who is a natural sadistic character and she also misinterprets Dino as Maiku’s boyfriend.
Release Date of Blend S Season 2
The first series was released in 2017, and ever since then there are no other sequels created, and the show did not gain much popularity. Later in course of time, the show gained a lot of attention due to its complex storyline understood by many and increased in demand. However, there are no official announcements made as of now but recent sources mentioned that the makers of the series are working on Blend S Season 2 and will mostly come out in 2021.
