7Seeds is a Sci-Fi Japanese Anime series produced by GONZO and Studio Kai production companies. It is directed by Yokio Takahashi. Netflix has adopted it as one of Netflix’s Originals. However, Netflix is now naming most of its shows, especially Anime shows.
7 Seeds have gained a lot of attention worldwide among teens and critics due to the uniqueness in its story. It is based on the Japanese manga of the same name.
7 Seeds Season 2 Plot
7Seeds takes us to a phase post an apocalypse. A team of Astronomist warns the world that a meteorite will fall on Earth soon and destroy the civilizations. As a prevention measure to re-habitat the earth’s post-apocalypse, world leaders come up with a survival plan, “The Seven Seeds Project.”
Every country preserves certain people in cryogenic conditions in a secure place that cannot be affected by meteorite destruction. Post the fall of the meteorite, and these people will start a new human life on the New Earth.
Japan creates 5 groups of 7-members, each named Winter, Fall, Spring, Summer 1, and Summer 2. None of the 35 members are informed about the upcoming apocalypse and what’s their task post-apocalypse. Post the destruction, and each group starts a new life in different cities in different directions of Japan. The story further shows their struggle to re-civilize The New Earth.
When will “7 Seeds Season 2” Release?
The original manga has 149 chapters, out of which Part 1 has already consumed 83. Now, 96 chapters are remaining. Thus, we can assume that either Part 2 will be longer than Part 1, or there is a possibility of Part 3 as well (Part 3 may be much shorter). If Part 2 is the same size as Part 1, there’s also a possibility that a threequel movie may come instead of Part 3 to wrap everything with Climax.
As per Netflix’s announcement, Part 2 will have 12 episodes. But, how many chapters will be covered by Part 2 is yet uncertain, and we will have to wait for Part 2 to finish. Then only we can guess if there’s any Part 3 possible.
The question that Part 2 would come or not is now answered by Netflix recently in Feb 2020. Netflix has announced that Part 2 will be up on the streamer on March 26, 2020. Till then, all Anime lovers gotta do is to wait for a few more weeks.
