Netflix’s Anne with an E is the prime drama. It is a Canadian episodic – drama series that has become the country’s favorite in next to no time. The show gained immense popularity after it was first aired in 2017. Subsequently, it has seen three incredible seasons since. Netflix released the third season in November 2019. In the wake of the fantastic third season, fans have been raving about Anne with an E – Season 4.
So, when can we expect a season 4? What is the storyline going to be like?

Anne With An E: Series Info
The show is based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne of the Green Gables. The story is a crown jewel of Canadian literature and was published in 1908. Netflix picked up the show after it aired on CBC. The series premiered in May 2017.
The show follows the adventures of Anne Shirley. Anne is an outsider to the town of Avonlea, and we see her story as she adjusts to life and times in this fictional town. Consequently, the show garnered immense popularity with both critics and critics alike.
The second season of the show aired in September 2018, while the most recent season aired in September 2019.
Anne With An E: Twist In The Story
After witnessing the onslaught of love and sadness that the fans showered for the show, the creators of the show decided to pursue a fourth season. How very benevolent, they stated that the show would be premiering sometime in 2021 on Netflix!
We can finally find out if Diana will ever apologize to Jerry for her ill-treatment of him.
Anne With An E Season 4: Cast
Amybeth McNulty will be returning to the show as Anne. We are also expecting some of the others to reprise their roles on the show. This includes Geraldine James as Marilla, RH Thomson as Matthew Cuthbert, Dalila Bela as Diana Barry, Kyla Matthews as Ruby, and Corrine Koslo as Rachel Lynde.
Anne With An E Season 4: Renewal Deets
Unfortunately for the fans of this one, the news is sad and then, not so much.
Anne, with an E – Season 4, at one point in time, became a thing of fantasies. In October 2019, CBC’s president announced that CBC would be ending its partnership with Netflix because it constituted of deals “that hurt the long-term viability of our domestic industry.”
Within one day of the Season 3’s end and despite previous statements about more seasons to come, Netflix and CBC announced the cancellation. Thus, effectively killing any hope and rumors regarding the release of Anne with an E – Season 4 and leaving fans desolate.
But then, at the end of the tunnel, hope was seen, and Netflix became the knight in the shining armor for the fans of this show. On March 30, 2020, an official announcement stated that Netflix would be renewing the series for a Season 4!
Fingers crossed that we get to see the next season early next year!
