How to evolve Tentacruel?

It evolves from Tentacool to Tentacruel at level 30. In Pokemon Go, Tentacruel evolves from Tentacool which costs 50 candies.

Tentacruel Pokemon Stats, location, Evolving method, Nature and more

Why Tentacruel?

It’s a water and Poison Pokemon. It’s usually vulnerable to the Ground, Psychic and Electric Moves.

It’s one of the strongest moves are Poison Jab and Hydro Pump and it has a max CP of 2,422. The best thing about this Pokemon is its defense mechanism.  It has a light blue body that helps it to camouflage in the water.  It has 80 tentacles that can be readily extended in hunting its prey. It traps its prey in a net-like shape before immobilizing it with poison. The good thing about this Pokemon is that it can grow or shrink its tentacles with ease. Water is absorbed or removed in order to grow or shrink whatever the case is.

So, How strong is this Pokemon? Is it worth it?

Although it is weak to common attacking Pokemons such as Ground and Electric types but it has gotten such a great defensive asset to stall team especially with its great speed and special moves of defense.

Tentacruel has no reliable form of recovery so, it usually depends on Blissey’s swish or something similar to it so that it can avoid getting weak easily.

However, with a tweak to it’s EV spread, Tentacruel can have the ability to avoid Kos from Common Physical attackers such as Infernape and Macha.

It has some very useful abilities such as

  • Toxic  Spikes
  • Rapid spin
  • Rain dish

Ev training :252HP / 236 Def / 20 speed

It can use Venoshock as an extremely powerful stab attack and surf for steel types in generation 5 especially. The best ability it has is surf can level up to become Stab when it rains.  Raining can actually exaggerate its attacks. Toxic Spikes can also be set up which can really give huge damage to the opponent assisting it with the speed, it has.
