Bachelor in Paradise will make its return with a seventh season this summer. Major network American Broadcasting Company (ABC) had confirmed as much before the release of season six in 2019.
Bachelor in Paradise is a reality competition television series that will be released on August 4, 2014, on ABC. The American reality television inspires it shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. The show brings in contestants who have been featured on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette as they travel to a secluded paradise in Mexico. Participants battle it out for a big cash prize — and a chance at finding true love on television. Chris Harrison serves as the host.
The show has consistently maintained high ratings in terms of demographics and viewers. Despite facing stiff competition from other shows like America’s Got Talent, Bachelors in Paradise continues to be popular among viewers.
One reason for the popularity of the show has to do with the mix up of contestants; ‘alumni’ of the original series come up close and personal with castaways of their latest editions. Also, the dramatic flair of Chris Harrison makes for an excellent treat.
Another exciting aspect of the show has to do with watching the journey of those in love. Of the six couples formed during the previous season, only two have managed to remain bonded in love as we enter season seven.
Allegations of sexual misconduct halted the production of the show’s fourth season in 2017. However, investigations confirmed the absence of any wrongdoing, and since then, the show has carried on without any other significant obstacles.
Beginning in 2015, ABC also began airing Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise, a regular weekly live after-show. Chris Harrison and Jenny Mollen co-hosted the show starring a celebrity fan and one of the Bachelor in Paradise cast members.
