The makers of the show confirmed its renewal for an eighth season in November 2019.
The plot of season 8 is yet not confirmed as of now, and guessing what it will be about can be a difficult task, as season 7 has yet not ended.

[Spoiler] Well, now we know that Jake is soon going to be a dad, and it’s a boy! So, we can expect that in season 8, the plot will focus on Jake’s baby boy. One thing to notice here is why the production has brought to bring pregnancy? It’s not because they wanted the family of Jake and Amy to continue, but because Amy Santiago was pregnant in real life.

Recently Actress Mellisa Fumero (Amy) has given birth to her second child and most likely the boy will appear in the plot of this season.
