Netflix’s adult animated web-series, Castlevania, has been very popular among both fans and critics since it released. When Netflix released the series in 2017, Castlevania became an instant hit. The show ranked as the most popular digital original series in the US between July 6 – 19, 2017 and its popularity has only seemed to grow. Castlevania – Season 3 was released on March 5th, 2020, and the reaction has been phenomenal.

Castlevania Season 3: Series Recap
Netflix’s Castlevania is an adult animated web-series that was released in 2017. Season one and two are based on a Japanese video game series of the same name. They borrow elements from the 1989 entry Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, while the other two seasons incorporate elements from the 2005 entry Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. The series was initially planned as a film. Adi Shankar developed the series while Sam Deats, Adam Deats, and Spencer Wan directed the show.

Castlevania follows the life of Count Dracula. The townspeople wrongfully accuse his wife of witchcraft and burned at the stake. Following this, the Count declares that people of the town will pay with their lives for the death of his wife.
Castlevania Season 3: Release Calendar
Netflix released Castlevania Season – 3 on March 5, 2020. The cast has reprised their roles for this season, but the absence of Dracula’s shadow is hard to shake. The season follows the surviving characters as they pick up their lives and seek a new purpose.
The season also introduces a number of new characters. The third season has ten episodes, which continue from the previous seasons and are numbered from 13 to 22.

Castlevania Season 3: Series Review
The show has received a stellar review, with IGN giving it a perfect 10. Rotten Tomatoes gave Castlevania a 100% critic rating and an 85% audience approval rating. The season also has a 5/5 rating on Mashable. You can watch the trailer for season 3 here.
On March 27, 2020, following the excellent response to the third season, Netflix declared that it would be working on a season 4 for the series.
