Charlie Brooker, the renowned writer and comedian when recently talked about dropping Black Mirror season 6 off his idea, it left many wondering and fans were obviously sad. But speculations and rumors suggest that when he stated that he would be taking a break from Black Mirror due to Coronavirus, then it was not really a cancellation for long. Speculated talks said he would start working on season 6 as soon as the COVID- 19 will release the industry from its grip.
To Radiotimes, he cited a doubt about filming Black Mirror 6 while claiming that viewers could not really ‘stomach’ the show when we talk about the recently lurking ghost, COVID 19. He explained there, “I’ve been busy doing things. I don’t know what I can say about what I’m doing and not doing.”
He revealed what he has planned after dropping season 6 while stating, “At the moment, I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I’m not working away on one of those. I’m sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I’ve been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh.’”
We have seen the last season of series airing in June 2019, but it was quite unfortunate that only three episodes were named after season 5. Stars we glanced at in the season were Anthony Mackie, Andrew Scott, Topher Grace, and Miley Cyrus, among others.
Talking about Brooker’s next project, then when ‘BBC Two’ revealed that the comedian would be seen in Antiviral Wipe special, a show where the comedian will hilariously explain what people do in these quarantined days, what they do and what they watch, fans were thrilled. The show has started premiering on 14th May and is a half an hour stint.
