Cobra Kai is an action, comedy Youtube Premium series created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg based on the series ‘The Karate Kid’ film by Robert Mark Kamen.
After 34 years of the film, Cobra Kai came up considering the plot from the perspective of Johnny Lawrence. William Zabka & Ralph Macchio are the actors and also serve as the executive producers of the series alongside Xolo Mariduena, Courtney Henggeler, Tanner Buchanan & Mary Mouser.
The series consists of 2 seasons with 10 episodes each. Season 1 was launched on May 2, 2018, following the release of season 2 on April 24, 2019. YouTube has renewed the series for a third season.

Jon Hurwitz claimed that the writing of the script for season 3 has already begun, YouTube will air the series without any subscriptions (with Ads). The central aim of the series is to depict the conflicts between Johnny Lawrence and LaRusso.

Ralph Macchio will be heading to Okinawa in season 3, he himself to in an interview where the co-stars and the panel of Cobra Kai appeared.
This makes the story more interesting and may lead to various changes in the plot. Season 1 & 2 had received more critical responses than expected!! So fans expect season 3 to be a huge success than any other series. YouTube has also canceled many other Premium series for Cobra Kai.
