Pirates of the Caribbean, a movie series that has allotted Johnny Depp fame and brought him an Oscar nomination for his role of Jack Sparrow, has ended up five of its installment. And the sixth one is most-awaited and what is awaited more than that is the confirmation of renowned actor in the installment. We could not really imagine this loot movie without Depp, right? And here’s a development that popped up for his role!
Where The Renewal Process Is?
Recently, Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the well-loved movie series has been interviewed by Collider, where he said that “We’re working on a draft right now and hopefully we’ll get it shortly and give it to Disney, and hopefully they’ll like it, We don’t know. We’ve been working on it for a little bit.”
Well, literally, the talk over Pirates of the Caribbean 6 started way before in 2018 that is after around a year of ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’ release, and now also it seems in the doldrums.
Depp Is Coming Back?
But what’s more important for any of us is the return of Depp, who gained international fame with the original movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.’ He has been a sensational actor since long though his recent works had faced backlash on the commercial front.
When Bruckheimer was asked for Depp’s renewal, then he proclaimed no clarity while saying, “The one we’re developing right now, we’re not sure quite what Johnny’s role is going to be,” and added, “So, we’re going to have to see.”
Who Will Take Lead?

With this, we can assume that Depp could have a cameo kind of appearance in the sixth installment. Only a cameo could be predicted as the plot in the fifth installment that is ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’ has hinted the audience a new protagonist in the form of Redd, who arose as an empowered woman after facing the plight of a human trafficking victim.
