On Friday, the Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei delivered a speech during the funeral procession of late Iranian General Qassem Suleiman in Tehran, in which he addressed the president of the United States “Donald Trump” as a “Clown” who was trying to fool the people of Iran by pretending to help them, but in actuality wanted to plunge poisonous daggers into their backs.
Ali Khamenei gained the support and sympathy of the people who were present in the procession. He also called the government of America “corrupt” and said that he was more than ready to fight America with the support of the people and the country.
In his speech, Ali Khamenei also said that 11 US troops were injured during the Iranian missile attacks on 8 January in the US bases in Iraq, which was completely against the statement that President Trump had given in which he said that no Americans were injured during the missile strike.
He further added by calling the assassination of General Qassem Suleiman was a cowardly action was taken by America, which took out Iran’s most effective commander. He very boldly said that the retaliation that Iran showed against America was proof that a nation such as Iran had the power and spiritual power to fight against a world-dominating country such as America.
Donald Trump responded to Ali Khamenei’s speech by tweeting, ” The so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ of Iran, who has not been so supreme lately, has some nasty things to say about the United States and Europe.” In another tweet, which, when translated to Farsi, read “Abandon terror and make Iran great again.” Which he pointed towards the leaders of Iran.
The tension that is being created by the current situation of both countries could pose an international threat if things get out of hand. As of now, the condition is very critical, and conflicts between both countries are becoming unpleasant day by day.
