It is a Japanese, Boxing Anime TV Series written by Chikara Sakuna and produced by TMS Entertainment. The Japanese name of this show is ‘Megaro Bokusu’ in, and it was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of a famed Manga Series called Ashita NoJoe. It was dubbed in English and is premiered on Amazon Prime Video. One can also stream it on different platforms like- Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Netflix in its original form, i.e., Japanese audio with English subtitles.
Megalo Box Season 2 Plot
As we know, it is a sequel to ‘Megalo Box,’ and it sets in Japan during that time when there was a lot of class divide among the citizens. A sport was also trendy among the people, at that time known as Megalo Boxing. This is a similar game to boxing, where one fights by using his/her fingers. Fighters wear gear and metal frames to enhance their speed and power. This sport follows a young boxer called Junk Dong; he fights in an illegal fighting circuit.
But, his coach never uses his full potential; the life of Dong changed when he collided his bike with Yukiko Shirato, head of a wealthy group. He kicks a fight against hi bodyguard Yuri, who was also a champion in this sport. Yuri beats him and challenges him to again fight against me. So, the story is all about him and his struggle from an illegal guy to a professional model.

The characters who have confirmed their presence in the upcoming season are – junk Donga, Gansaku Nanbu, Yukiko Shirato, and Yūri. There is no other official information about any new face to join or any returning of casts.
Megalo Box Season 2 Release Date
Season 1 was aired on 26 April 2018, and it ran up to 29 June 2018. This follows further by releasing three individual episodes between 29 July 2019 to 22 November 2019. After that, the announcement made by NYC 2019 to release its second season soon. But there is no official information regarding the date of publishing of next season. We can still expect the upcoming season to be premiering near in October 2020.
