Dr. Stone is a Japanese animation manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki, illustrated by Boichi and published by Shueisha. The television version is directed by Shinya Lino and written by Yuichiro Kido.
The series had only one season before with 24 episodes, which were broadcasted on Adult Swim in the US and on different networks in Japan. Season one was aired from July 5, 2019, to December 13, 2019.

And After a very long wait, we finally have a piece of major news on Dr. Stone Season 2. According to the latest updates, Animators have started working on Season 2 and have released their first Character Design Models. @DBSHypeX Season in a Twitter Post revealed the Lastest Character Designs for Senku, Chrome & Koharu.

Dr. Stone season 1 synopsis
The storyline of season one revolves around the time when all the civilizations of humans vanished from the earth, and a teenager named Senku Ishigami revives himself and tries to revive his friend with the help of nitric acid which made his revival possible.
He succeeded in reviving his friends, but by some fault, he also revived martial arts expert Tsukasa Shishio whose thinking was to establish a new civilization, but Senku decided for the revival of a previous civilization.
Both are having different mentality were strict on their words and buildup in a stone war. In the end, Senku’s kingdom won, and season came to an end with an upcoming rivalry of the Petrification kingdom, which petrified the humans before.

Dr. Stone Season 2 Release Date
A second season for the series was announced by the creators at the end of the final episode of season one, i.e., 24th episode. As of now, there is no confirmed release date for the upcoming season as the release is delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but we can surely expect it by this year.
The new season will be coming up with the same characters, and Senku’s kingdom will provide us with much adventure and information about their efforts for the protection of civilization. Season two will be continuing up with the previous season plot.
