Can anyone forget the iconic jet fighter scenes of the Top Gun movie? Fans loved the drama, the excitement, and the raging fighter jet scenes. Tom Cruise will be officially coming back in the sequel titled Top Gun: Maverick”.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the movie will star Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer as the iconic Maverick and Iceman once again. Jerry Bruckheimer, Tom Cruise, Christopher McQuarrie, and David Elison will serve as the Producers. McQuarrie will also join the writer’s team with Ehren Kruger and Eric Warren Singer.

Other actors joining the cast are Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, John Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris. Many of the actors will be replacing the roles of the iconic fighter pilots “Merlin,” “Viper, “Slider,” “Sundown,” and “Jester” from the first installment. Jean Louisa Kelly will star as Goose’s widowed wife and Rooster’s mother, Carole Bradshaw. Meg Ryan played a role in the earlier film

In the last movie, fans saw Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, who had just joined Top Gun along with his best friend Radar Intercept Officer Nick “Goose” Bradshaw. After a tragic accident, Maverick loses Goose that devastates him. Now, Pete is one of the Navy’s top aviators dodging promotions that might ground him.

But, his past comes face to face when he encounters a familiar face among the new batch of Top Gun graduates- his late best friend’s son Lt Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: Rooster. As he struggles to confront his past, he must prepare them for a specialized mission.  A mission that would need the ultimate sacrifice of those who are involved.

Originally, the movie was scheduled to release in June 2020. However, it was delayed until 23rd December 2020 because of the COVID-19 outbreak by Paramount Pictures.
