Pop Star Grimes a.k.a. Claire Boucher, the girlfriend of tech tycoon Elon Musk, has decided not to reveal the gender identity of her to-be-born child.
Grimes is 7-month pregnant
31-year old Grimes announced her pregnancy in the 7th month of pregnancy. Grime’s child will be the 6th child of Elon Musk, who already has 5 children from his first wife Justine Wilson.
The couple has decided not to reveal the identity of the child. Grimes announced it on Twitter when asked by a user. She said the parents would call the baby as ‘They’ and once they’ll land on earth, they’ll decide their own identity and fate.
A fan asked her on Twitter about gender to which she replied, “They may decide their fate and identity”. Dragging the comment further, Grimes picked the topic during her YouTube Livestream and told that its the privacy and it must be respected.
She said, “I don’t want to say the gender of the baby… because I feel like their privacy should be protected. I don’t think they can consent to be famous or being in public. And I don’t want to gender them in case that’s not how they feel in their life. I don’t know, I just feel like it doesn’t need to be known.”
Grimes and Elon have the name already
Pop-star and Elon musk are together since May 2018. Along with the privacy stuff on gender, she also announced that the couple has already decided a name for the child but won’t reveal. She said that she’d take the name to close people and no one likes it.
To be exact with her words, “I have a name for the baby, but I don’t want to say what it is because everyone I’ve told it hates it, and everyone’s gonna make fun of it. But it is, in fact, a genius name and people just don’t appreciate it yet because it’s too avant-garde.”
