Making television series or web series that are based on novels is not a new concept. One of the latest additions to this list is- HIS DARK MATERIALS.
Based on a fantasy novel of the same name, His Dark Materials season 1 premiered on the 3rd of November, 2019. Before even the first season was premiered, the announcement about the release of its season 2 was made by its creators. The cast members of this show include- Dafne Keen, Ruth Wilson, Clark Peter, Will Keen, and many others.
His Dark Materials Season 2 – Base Storyline
The storyline of this adventure-drama series revolves around an orphan girl, Lyra, who lives in a parallel universe where science, magic, and theology are entwined. In a quest to search for her kidnapped friend, she learns the ugly truth about stolen children. On her journey to uncover the truth, she is joined by her friend Will, a boy who possesses a knife that can cut windows between worlds. This duo is caught up in a war against celestial powers that ranges across many worlds.
His Dark Materials Season 2 – Expected Plot
The show’s season 2 will be based on The Subtle Knife, which is the second book in the trilogy. Not much can be said about the plot, as of now, but one thing is sure, Will Parry will join Lyra in Cittàgazze at some point, where they will discover a world without adults or daemons. As their bond grows gradually and they can trust each other more, they move between worlds. A part of this story is expected to take place in Lyra’s world.
His Dark Materials Season 2 – Release Date
The release date of His Dark Materials season 2 is yet not confirmed. But people can expect that it will release by the end of November 2020.
