Omanyte
Omanyte is a Rock/Water-type Fossil Pokémon which made its debut in Generation 1 and it must has grabbed your glance which brought here to know about Omanyte Evolution. Helix Fossil serves as the source of its regeneration while many people believe it to be a counterpart of Kabuto. It is also hailed as the ‘Spiral Pokémon’.
Omanyte’s shape looks pretty much similar to nautilus. A cream-colored spiral-shaped strong shell is placed on top of it. Its eyes have circular big-sized pupils in them. A total of ten tentacles enable it to swim in the water or crawl on a muddy surface.
Omanyte is believed to be an extinct species in the Pokémon universe. But it has the ability to revive itself from the fossils. Though, a source of high technology is needed to finish off this process. It is also presumed to reside inside the ancient seas. If these areas are thoroughly searched in the present time, then their fossils can be unearthed.
Additionally, there is not a single Omanyte that has been discovered in a wild area.

How To Evolve?
Omanyte is known to evolve in Omastar. Omanyte evolution process is quite simple as it needs to reach level 40 to get fully transformed into Omastar.
Omastar has spikes on its shell and a circular-shaped figure under its eyes with a black plus sign. Furthermore, its tentacles are longer and stronger than the original version. The size of the pupils reduces in this evolutionary form.
How Useful Is My Omanyte?
Omanyte has a tendency to hide inside its tough and unpenetrable shell whenever it senses any danger or finds itself surrounded by its attackers.
We already know that Omanyte is a Rock/Water-type Pokémon. This leads us to the conclusion that it is ineffective against the Fighting, Ground, Electric, and Grass-type Pokémon.
Omanyte is prominent in the Pokémon franchise for constant use of its two main abilities – Swift Swim and Shell Armor. Its speed augments due to the use of Swift Swim while Shell Armor defends it against the powerful attacks.
Plus, Omanyte’s small size doesn’t affect its speed. Its tentacles are quite helpful in boosting its pace.
