Ampharos

Ampharos is a Pokemon which looks like a sheep lacking fur. It has a white belly underneath. It’s tall, yellow Pokemon with black stripes on its conical ears, neck and tail. It has a red orb on the centre of its head and at the end of its tail which is capable of growing. Each foot has a single white toenail. It has a long neck with black rings around it at the end. One amazing fact about this Pokemon is that the orb on its tail can shine so bright that its brightness is visible even from the space. People use this to send signals too. These are generally found in Grasslands though they can be found in Farms alongside its pre-evolved forms Mareep and Flaaffy.

How To Evolve?

It evolves from Flaaffy starting at level 30. It is the final form of Mareep. Ampharos can mega evolve into Mega Ampharos under the Ampharosite.

In Pokemon Moon Black 2, Various Pokemons can mega – evolve outside of Battles to become even stronger. Mega Stones can be found or given to you after reaching Nimbass city. One of such Pokemon is Ampharos.

In Pokemon Go, Mareep is the unevolved form. Their Stamina is their primary scaling attribute. It first evolves into its first evolution using 25 candy. Then, it evolves into its final form which costs 100 candy.

How Much Useful Is My Ampharos?

It is an Electric-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 2. It is also known as the  ‘Light Pokemon’. The best Moveset of Ampharos is volt Switch and zap Cannon when it’s fighting other Pokemons.  This move combination has the highest total DPS and is also the best Moveset for PVP battles. It has a total of 10.5 DPS for Volt Switch and 45.4 DPS for Zap Cannon. These two combinations can be used in case of defence also.

It’s vulnerable to GROUND type Pokemon. It’s strong against STEEL, ELECTRIC, FLYING type Pokemons. It’s has been one of the rarest Pokemon in the games. It has got a decent Bulk but it still lacks greater offensive power to be considered one of the best Pokemons and that is what emerge as weakness of Ampharos. For fighting other Pokemons, there are better options but when it comes to Electric-type, this Pokemon is a really good option. It has a diverse Movepool and for an opponent, it’s hard to guess which charge moves it’s going to have.

Sadly, it doesn’t stand chances against Raikou or Zapdos. Still, It’s a decent Pokemon when it comes to Electric-type.
