Ferroseed Pokémon | Evolution, Weakness, Moveset, Stats, And More!

Ferroseed (Japanese: テッシード Tesseed) is a small oval-shaped metallic Pokemon resembling a durian. There are many green thorns around its body that are used for protection. Additionally, it has a metallic body with band-like stripes, along with small yellow eyes with black pupils and has green rims around them. This metal-bodied Pokemon evolution has quite good Stats, Abilities and Moveset in its kit and on top of that it seems way more powerful when we got to know that the weakness Ferroseed possessed is against only two types of Pokemon.

It sticks its spikes into cave walls, to absorb the minerals from the rocks. If threatened, it can shoot a barrage of spikes from its body so it can escape by rolling away.

Ferroseed prefers to live in moss caves. It absorbs minerals from rocks to grow moss as seen in the anime. Its spikes can grow big and strong by consuming the moss. However, absorbing nutrients from rocks that come from Chargestone Cave can yield disastrous results.

Ferroseed anme is said to be a combination of ferr- (a stem meaning iron in several languages including Latin) and seed. Surprisingly, no other Pokemon have the same Egg Group combination as Ferroseed and its evolved form. Also, the Pokemon has the lowest base Speed stat of all Steel Type-type Pokemon

Ferroseed first debuted in Crisis at Ferroseed Research!, where Professor Malveaux was conducting research on them using electric stones from Chargestone Cave. Ferroseed’s English name is said to be a combination of Ferrum (Latin for iron) and seed.  However, when the experiment went out of control, it resulted in moss spreading around the Ferroseed Research Institute.

There are currently 2 Pokemon in total in the Ferroseed family. Ferroseed evolves into Ferrothorn which costs 50 Candies starting at level 40.

How Much Useful Is My Ferroseed?

Ferroseed has pretty decent base stats, the highest being that of Defense. In addition to it, it is resistant to poison, psychic, dragon, normal, electric, water, steel, rocky, fairy, and grass type of moves. It is also boosted by sunny and snowy weather. Hence with great strategy and encountering the opponent’s weak points, this Pokemon can be worth it on the field.

Ferroseed is a Grass/Steel-type Pokemon and is weak against Fire moves, and weak against Fighting moves.

The other strong Pokemon who can stand a great chance against Ferroseed are Reshiram, Chandelure, Darmanitan (Standard), Volcarona, Blaziken.

Well, do you think that the Ferroseed Evolution can suffice your needs in the game after going through its weakness, Moveset, stats, and more? If yes then you should run down to the Ferroseed Evolution!

But if still, you think that you may find some better Moveset, stats, and less unhealthy weakness with the help of evolution other than of Ferroseed, then Herald Journalism has information stocked for that purpose.
