Final Space is an animated space opera comedy. The animated series is created by Olan Rogers with David Sacks, as showrunner for TBS and Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block Adult Swim. Since the response from the side of the audience was loudly affirmative, the second season was renewed by the broadcast company.
The main protagonists of the cartoon are Gary, an inept astronaut who is completing his five-year sentence abroad in the space and a planet-destroying alien, Mooncake. Together the uncanny pair is set up for a universal ride, including planet annihilation, and is also on a quest to find the ‘final space.’ While on the journey, the pair has given aboard for many loyal robots and other aliens who became the part of the crew.
Gary is an energetic yet inept astronaut who is serving his time in an abroad prison spacecraft named Galaxy One. On the way, he encounters a peculiar creature who is spending all its time and energy in destroying celestial objects.
Befriending the creature, Gary names it as Mooncake and gets to know that Mooncake is wanted by an army of a powerful telekinetic creature known as the Lord Commander.
Together they go on a trip around the universe to become saviors to the unearthly needy with the help of the ship’s computer HUE, loyal to a fault forces of robots and an ever-increasing member of the crew. They all share the same notion to find where the universe ends and how does the final space look like.
Olan Rogers has tweeted an affirmative response to the news of the third part on November 20, 2019. Furthermore, in a comic book meeting, he stressed that he has about six seasons ready in mind for the series. The official release date Final space season 3 has not been announced yet.
