Adapted from Marvel Comics character of the same name, The Punisher is an American television series, which revolves around genres like action, conspiracy thriller, and crime drama. The first season of this show was released on November 17, 2017. It was praised by the critics for its storyline and cinematography.
The Punisher: Plot
The storyline of the show is set in New York and revolves around Frank Castle. After avenging the death of his children and wife, from the responsible people, he unravels the truth behind a dark conspiracy theory that affects the lives of thousands. Now, known as The Punisher, Frank seeks help from his friend, Billy Russo, to fight for the victims of injustice.

The Punisher Season 3: Is It Coming
We all are familiar with Netflix’s old tradition of canceling shows. One of the victims of this cruel Netflix tradition is our favorite, The Punisher. The Punisher was canceled after a second season on February 18, 2019, and as of now, it still stands canceled [sobs].
Marvel’s Jeph Loeb said, “Our Network partner may have decided they no longer want to continue telling the tales of these great characters.”
Some say that the reason behind the show’s cancellation was the ruined relationship between Netflix and Marvel. Others believe that the popularity of the show declined in 2018, and it failed to gain many viewers, and therefore Netflix decided to cancel it.
Well, as of now, the show still stands canceled, but there is a slight chance that Disney Hotstar+ or Hulu will pick up the series and renew it for a third season. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that the show gets renewed, just like how the other canceled shows of Netflix get renewed by other entertainment giants.
