James Cameron is Done Filing Avatar 2, 2021 Release Date CONFIRMED, Zoe Saldana & Sam Worthington Returning

It’s been a decade since Avatar smashed the all-time record at the box office and Avengers: Endgame has now lost its crown.

But James Cameron doesn’t worry about that, as we continue to wait for Avatar 2. If anything, he gave hope this seemingly endless quest will be worth it. Avengers: Endgame is proof of people still going to movie theatres.

The Avatar series was that the market might have shifted so much that it was simply no longer possible to get people who were excited to go and sit in a dark room with a bunch of strangers watching something.

James Cameron has always had a dream to go back to Pandora’s land. It is just one that takes a terribly long time. Apparently, we are having FOUR sequels to his CG mega-hit, which will see the show continuing until 2027.

Avatar 2 release date:

To cut a long story short, Avatar 2 will actually (apparently) be launched on December 17, 2021, having been pushed back from December 2020. As previously mentioned, on December 17, 2027. A new Avatar movie will follow all the way every other year until Avatar 5. Well, that’s actually the plan anyway.

If you want to get to the screen the full story of the long and drawn-out journey of the sequel, this is where it goes—looking back on it. It seems almost absurd that Avatar 2 should release in December 2014. Avatar 3 scheduled for December 2015.

The shooting meant to start on Avatar 2 in April 2016-yes, so long ago. Yet April came and went, and shooting had never begun. The next year in January, it was announced that development on the film’s motion capture aspect would begin by August 2017, but it actually started in September.

A fourth Avatar film confirmed, however, which moved the entire lot back to December 2016, 2017, and 2018, respectively. But it’s * checks calendar*2020 and we’ve not had a sequel yet, let alone three.
