What We Do in the Shadows
What We Do in the Shadows is New Zealand’s vampire horror comedy film directed and written by Jemaine Clement & Taika Waititi, they also starred in the film along with Jonathan Brugh, Ben Fransham, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, Stu Rutherford and Jackie Van Beek. Taika Waititi also served as the producer of the film alongside Chelsea Winstanley & Emanuel Michael. The initial film of ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ franchise released on January 19, 2014.
Waiti & Clement proposed for a sequel to the film and was initially titled ‘What We Do in the Moonlight,’ and was delayed due to some production issues, the film was further titled as We’re Wolves. They’ve been telling that there will be a sequel to the film stating various titles, but it kept on retarding. They also promulgated that it took seven years for them to make the first film. After five years of release, a sequel to the film renewed and will premiere in late 2020.

Clement will be directing the film based on the prequel and is written by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement; the sequel will be premiered on April 15, 2020. The plot of the film is about various vampires living together in a building in Wellington. Though the prequel wasn’t immense at the box office, the film became successful in obtaining positive critics. All the main characters of the film are likely to return for the sequel. In the sequel, a new set of vampires will be living together. ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ was initially launched as a film and is now transformed into a TV series. This season might include more variations in the supernatural creatures. The highlight of the prequel is various cameos, actors who played the role of vampires in different films and shows appeared. It is similarly expected to happen with the Werewolves.
