Mindhunter is an American crime thriller series created by Joe Penhall and officially distributed by Netflix. It is based on the book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. The first season of the series was premiered on October 13, 2017, on Netflix.

The series is about FBI’s official and psychologist who interviews serial killers to know about their mentality, thinking and about their way of doing the crime which can make it easier of FBI agents to solve several cases.

It also reveals the real life of the high professional criminals who were being accused of being proved guilty for their crime. Series is majorly set in the period of mid of the 1970s to 1980s. As of now, there is no announcement of the renewal of season three as director of the series is busy in other film projects as well as on other animated series. We can expect the announcement of shooting and principal photography by early 2021 and can see the new part on-screen by the end of 2021 or early 2022.
