Kekkei Sensen also known as Blood Blockade Battlefront, is an anime series produced by Bones Studio and directed by Rie Matsumoto. The pilot episode aired on April 5 2015 and the first season ended on October 4, 2015. The Second Season went from October 7 2017 to December 23, 2017. It’s been a few years since season 2 ended. And fans have been waiting ever since for any news about Kekkai Sensen Season 3.
Kekkai Sensen Season 3 Storyline
The main protagonist of the show is Leonardo Watch, who has a special power called “All-seeing eyes”, which allows him to see the ‘truth’. The power captures the attention of Libra, an organization that enforces order on Hellsalem’s Lot. At the end of the season, a character named White banishes King of Despair from the city but becomes a part of the seal that protects the city.

In the second season, we see Michelle Watch, the younger sister of Leonardo gets kidnapped by Dr.Gamimozu, Leonardo distracts him, while Libra intervenes and saves the day.
The Official Announcement
As of now, there is no official announcement of Season 3 happening any time soon by the Bones Studios, but the popularity and the overall reception of the show give us a lot of hope. So there is a chance that we might see the new season soon. Also, there is a wide range of manga content available for them to pick up and adapt. So you don’t need to worry and just chill and think about what is coming up in the Upcoming seasons and once it comes binge-watching must be your thing!
The Cast
It is expected that most of the cast members should be back for Season 3. So we can predict that Daisuke Sakaguchi as Leonardo Watch will probably be reprising his role in the new season. Along with him, Kazuya Nakai as Zapp Renfro, Rikiya Koyama as Klaus Von Reinhartz, Micah Solusod as Black can all be expected to come back, along with new additions. Rie Kugimiya as White could make a cameo appearance, as she did in Season 2.
Kekkai Sensen Season 3 Release Date
There is no official confirmation for the new season, let alone the release date. But as already mentioned, considering the popularity and profitability of the series, season 3 is inevitable. Well it seems that the pandemic has stopped the Announcement of the new Season, but you don’t worry after things get better, we are hoping that we will get another season!
As per the rumors, that the new season would be released in 2021. All rumors should not be taken seriously, But rumors do have some element of truth in them. So, our best guess would be somewhere around Mid-2021 to Late 2021 for the series to be released.
