On 10 May 2020, Betty Wright, one of the most influential singers in America, tragically died at the age of 66. The news of her death was made public by her niece after she shared a twitter in which she expressed her feelings about her aunt’s death and paid tribute to her soul.
Her twitter post read, ” I just lost my aunt this morning……, and now my mood has changed……sleep in peace aunty Betty Wright, Fly High angel.”
In another post, she remembered the kindness that her aunt once showed her and regretting not being able to be there for her in her final moments. The post read, ” My aunty was a legend…..she helped me with my first paychecks singing background…..and I didn’t make it to see you this past week, and that’s going to haunt me…RIP Betty Wright.”
Although her niece paid tribute to her on Twitter and broke the news to the public, she did not write anything related to the cause of death. Currently, the cause of death is unknown, but what is known is that Hollywood lost one of his most beautiful souls.
Betty Wright was an extraordinarily talented singer, who began her career in music at the young age of 12. Furthermore, she was nominated six times for a Grammy and won her first Grammy in 1976 for the hit song “Where Is Love.”
Betty Wright is famous for many of her songs, which include ” No Pain, Clean Up Women, Girls Can’t Do What The Guys Do, Tonight’s The Night, I Love The Way You Love” and, of course, ” Where Is Love.”
Her death was a very grief striking news that befell the ears of every classical music fan. She will always be remembered for her legendary contribution towards the music industry, and the love that she had for her family and fans.
