Log Horizon is an anime based on a Japanese novel of the same name. The novel, written by Mamare Touno, has received four Manga adaptations before it was adapted as an anime in 2013. Satelight animation animated the series and it was broadcast on NHK Educational TV.
Log Horizon garnered a lot of attention when it first premiered in 2013. The anime series has seen two successful seasons. Season 1 premiered on October 5, 2013, and Season 2 premiered on October 4, 2014. Fans have been anticipating the release of Log Horizon – Season 3 ever since.

Log Horizon Season 3: Recap
The anime is based on an Isekai theme, where the characters travel to a world that is not their own. The characters in Log Horizon are trapped in a game, inside the world of a popular MMORPG called Elder Tale. The players must adapt to the harsh conditions within the game and must fight to survive.
Satelight animation produced the first season of the show while Studio Deen produced season 2. Shinji Ishihara directed both seasons of the show.
Log Horizon Season 3: Expectations
The series was immensely popular when it was first launched and fans have been speculating about the third season ever since. However, since the anime was based on a Manga, the third season could not be launched sooner. This is because the Manga went on a rather long hiatus and only re-started publication in April 2018. Rumors regarding the release have been flying around since season 2 ended and we finally have a definitive answer.
Log Horizon Season 3: No of Episodes
Unfortunately, season 3 can’t air 25 episodes like the previous seasons. This is because there is a lack of an adequate amount of source material to fuel a full 25 episodes.

There is no talk of a trailer yet, but I am sure it will come in due time. Till then all we can do is anticipate and maybe binge-watch the first two seasons and read to pass the time until season 3 arrives.
Season 3 will be releasing in October 2020! The news was confirmed by NHK who said that season 3 would be releasing in October 2020 and would be called Log Horizon: Entaku Hokai (Log Horizon: Fall of the Round Table).
