Kamalnath resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on Friday, 19 March, following a press conference in which he blamed BJP for “killing democracy.” The resignation came in before the floor test that was supposed to happen on Friday. The speaker declared that there was no need for a floor test following the resignation.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan says Internal Conflict led to the fall 

As per Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s statement, internal conflict is the reason for the fall of this government, not BJP. When Congress was elected, the party had not made interference of any sort and let people’s justice prevail. 

Questions followed as to whether BJP had intentions of dismantling the Congress Government in Madhya Pradesh. 

Kamalnath says Democracy being murdered …

As per Kamalnath’s statement in the press conference, the Bhartiya Janata Party had been creating trouble since the party took power in 2018 and that for a mandate of 5 years, his government got only 15 months. 

He stated that BJP should be held responsible for “killing democracy” and that it will soon be criticized for holding MLAs hostage in Bengaluru.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, who quit the Congress and joined BJP recently tweeted that the Congress MP government had digressed from the path of serving people and that the downfall of the government was a “people’s victory.” 

As per Economic Times, The 16 MLAs in a Bengaluru resort are all set to return and join the Bhartiya Janata Party in the presence of Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the strongest contender as the next CM after the downfall of Congress. However, due to the Janata curfew announced by the Prime Minister in his address on Friday, has pit all programs on hold.
