The expected release date for the Demon Slayer Movie is September 2020 & Demon Slayer Season 2 is set to release next year. But this is just a speculated date as no official date has been confirmed yet.

About Demon Slayer Season 2

Kimetsu no Yaiba’s also known as Demon Slayer is an anime Television Series directed by Harou Sotozaki. The series follows a young boy who becomes a demon slayer after his family is slaughtered and his younger sister is turned into a demon. The series is published in English by Viz Media and sim published by Shueisha in English and Spanish on their Manga Plus platform.

T.V. series aired in Japan from April 6 to September 28, 2019, after the end of the series sequel film was announced which is scheduled to premiere in 2020.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

The anime won the 2019 Newtype Anime Awards in the fields of “best TV anime”, “best male character” (Tanjiro Kamado), “best female character” (Nezuko Kamado), “best theme song”, “best director”, “best character design”, “best voice actor” (Natsuki Hanae), and “best voice actress” (Akari Kitō). In the February 2020 issue of Animedia magazine, it was revealed that the series received eleven awards for its characters at the “Animedia Character Awards 2019”.
