His Dark Materials is a fantasy drama television series based on the novel series of the same name by Philip Pullman. The eight-episode first series premiered on 3 November 2019 on BBC One. His Dark Materials was renewed for a second series of eight episodes.
The story begins in an alternate world where all humans have animal companions called daemons. It follows the life of a young girl named Lyra who is in search of a missing friend, and she also uncovers a series of kidnappings and its link to a mysterious substance called Dust, which will lead to her crossing paths with a boy named Will.
The plot of season 2 will likely follow Philip Pullman’s book The Subtle Knife. The second season will probably see Lyra and Will meeting during her journey. The cast for the series will be Starring Dafne Keen, Ruth Wilson, Anne-Marie Duff, Clarke Peters, James Cosmo, Ariyon Bakare, Will Keen, Lucian Msamati, Gary Lewis, Lewin Lloyd, Daniel Ferguson and many more.
There is no official release date for the second season. But since the season has already been filmed, it will be hitting the screen soon. The second season is also going to have eight episodes. As of now, the series will be broadcasted by the end of the year.
