Mindhunter is a crime psychological thriller web series that premiered world wide ok Netflix on 13th October, with its second season releasing on 16th August 2019. The series has been created by Joe Penhall and produced by Liz Hannah, Jim Davidson, and Mark Winemaker and is based on a true crime book authored by Mark Olshaker and John E. Douglas, Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit. The series has been a huge success with a total of 19 episodes, each one being 30-70 minutes long.

The production process has not started yet, firstly because the next season is on indefinite hold, which means that it is not canceled by Netflix per se, but there is a need for renewal of the agreements, and secondly, due to the slowdown caused by the current pandemic. Hence, there is no news about its trailer release date.
Mindhunter Season 3 RELEASE DATE: When will we get to see a new season?
Seeing the time difference between the release of the first and the second season, it is being expected that the third season will hit the screens next year in the month of August. No official announcement about its release date has been made yet though by the makers of the show. It seems like there is time before we get informed about any of these.

The Plot of Mindhunter Season 3
The series originally revolves around two FBI agents Bill Tench and Holden Ford, who are assigned to interview convinced serial killers from all over the world in order to make their psychological reports, so they know their method of functioning. Moreover, these agents also help law enforcement agencies in solving their cases of crime.
Season 3 will take us through more such interviews and cases, more interrogations with criminals, and how the agents use materials from previous interviews to help themselves get out of current situations.
