Netflix’s Peaky Blinders Season 6 Returning with Cillian Murphy: Expected Release Date, Cast, Plot & More

Peaky Blinders Season 5 was undoubtedly one dark ride. It was tinted with gloom as well.

The creator of the brilliant series, Steven Knight, has revealed his plans for the show. He proclaimed he has plans up in his sleeves for further seasons.

“We are doing six series. And we will do seven soon.”

“After series four, it went mad. We’ve talked to Cillian Murphy, and he’s all for it, and the rest of the principal cast are in for it.”

He also told us about the time when he thought about ending the series in the fifth season.

“We were eventually going to end it with this series, but I just thought that there are so many people who are just getting into it now,” he said. “It’d be such a shame to stop.”

All the five seasons had six episodes each. As a result, we are safely betting the sixth season will also include a total of six episodes. BBC expressed its appreciation for the series. “With approval for new programs to be available for a minimum of 12 months, this will deliver real value for license fee payers,” said the BBC’s director of content Charlotte Moore following the announcement.

“In 2020, we will go even further to make it the best watch ever from binge-worthy series to the biggest live TV moments.”

Looking at the statistics, we can presume the sixth season will drop in the UK around the end of 2020, or the early period of 2021. It also most probable that the sixth season will be available on Netflix after the show has been aired on BBC Channel. The trailer of the sixth season has not been released yet.
