This article is about the sequel of a popular series. The first season of Umbrella academy aired on Netflix on February 15, 2019. The show got a lot of positive reviews from the critics.
Plot:
The story is of few siblings. Not just any ordinary family, but a superhero family of siblings. They unite and solve the mystery of their father’s death. Also, the threat of an impending apocalypse is an issue.
Season 2 release date:
The exact date pf release is not out yet. Only an official renewal is all we are sure of. The only clue Netflix has given is that season 2 is ” coming soon” in 2019. This might indicate a 2020 release.
Showrunner Blackman also said that each season takes around 18 months to film. So Season 2 might release around August.
Also, we should keep in mind that Netflix releases the dates one month before the show release, followed by a trailer. So we need to wait for a trailer release now.
Plot for season 2:
“We don’t know what happened to them. I wanted this to be the best of cliffhangers, in that you’re like ‘Wait, what? What happened?’ It gives us a lot of openness and legroom to tell the best story we can. But the apocalypse is not solved. They did not save the world, which is a slight alteration of the comic. To me, it was the right Netflix cliffhanger. You want people to go into the off-season saying, ‘I gotta know what happened,’ and that will be revealed when you see season two.”
Between all the mystery, we do know one thing. The first episode of season 2 is to be titled, “Right Back Where We Started.”
