Fans have high expectations from the live-action remake of hit animated movie Mulan.
1998 Animated movie Mulan has been one of the most successful movies of Disney. The production house is trying to recreate the magic by making a live-action movie. The announcement delighted the fans.
Fans were overjoyed when Disney released the first trailer of the movie Mulan. The trailer impressed the critics and left fans begging for more.
Mulan’s Plot
Mulan is a story about a girl who disguises herself as a man to join the Chinese imperial army. She takes this step to protect her family and her father, who is too old to fight in a war. She is determined but tested at every step. In the trailer, she says, “Its my duty to fight.” In addition to that, she must learn to harness her innermost strength and embrace her true potential.
Mulan’s Cast and Crew
Cast includes Liu Yifei as Hua Mulan, the lead protagonist, Donnie Yen as Commander Tung, Jason Scott Lee as Bori Khan, Tzi Ma as Hua Zhou, Li Gong as Xian Lang, Utkarsh Ambudkar as Skath and Jet Li as The Emperor of China. Nicki Caro will be donning the director’s hat for the film.
Mulan is not the first live-action remake of a Disney animated movie. Disney has had success with the live-action remake in the past. Some of the examples are The Jungle Book, Aladdin, Beauty, and the Beast.
No songs?
Till now, Every live-action movie by Disney has songs. In fact, the same song which was originally in the animated movie. However, Disney’s latest offering Mulan does not have any songs. Director has confirmed this, but the same director has also said that they will honor the music from the animated movie in a very significant manner. Harry Gregson-William has given the music.
Release Date of Mulan
Mulan will storm the theatres of the USA and the UK on 27th March 2020.
