Everyone is humming the same question, whether Freeform renewed the series The Bold Type for the fifth season.
The series ended with a marvelous ending of season 4 this year. The fourth season which ended this spring, gathered many viewers.
The fans are now hoping for the fifth season on the screens. After all, there is a wedding, coupled with romance, heartbreaks, and important decisions.
The ending of the fourth season comes up with a piece of good news. The show has already set up its renewal for the next eighteen episodes.
We will see more episodes of the series in the coming months. The dates will vary due to the pandemic situation around the globe.
The Bold Type Season 5 Release Date
This year January 2020, Freeform released the fourth season with ten episodes. After the tenth episode, the series went on a break. However, the channel planned to show the rest eight episodes in the summer of 2020. But the situation is such that the release will see a delay.
The filming is in halt, although the shooting was over for six out of eight episodes. The more we expect, we think that the pandemic will cause a severe delay in the show.
We are hoping it to release by January 2021.

“The studio and network are taking COVID-19 very seriously, as are our cast and crew. Although we didn’t have anyone test positive, the decision was made to halt production right now for the safety of everyone. It is not canceled. Hopefully, we get to finish the episodes we were filming, but the most important thing is that everyone remains safe and healthy.”
As per the channel, the eleventh episode was to release in July 2020. They might change the decision and include all the events together in the fifth season.
