The final book of The Kingkiller Chronicles, authored by Patrick Rothfuss is finally set to be published. The series consists of two volumes, the first volume titled The Name of the Wind published in 2007 and the second one as The Wise Man’s Fear in 2011. The upcoming book titled as ‘The Doors of Stone’ is going to be the third and final volume.

The Kingkiller Chronicles is a fantasy series penned by Patrick Rothfuss, which narrates the story of an adventurer and a musician named Kvothe. The story is told from a third-person perspective and mostly consists of Kvothe narrating his life to a transcriber in the first person. The Name of the Wind which came out in 2007 was a start to the series, which followed by The Wise Man’s Fear in 2011. Both the volumes were lauded by the readers as well as the critics. Moreover, the first volume was recorded in the New York Times smash hit too.
The Doors of Stone: Synopsis
The third volume will conclude the story of ‘Kvothe’s story’ and the plot that begun in The Name of the Wind. The third volume will conclude the arc which started in the first volume. It will cover the third and final day of the story as connected to Chronicler. In an interview in 2011, Rothfuss explained that there will be more traveling in the third volume. He revealed that the plot of the third volume will be written in three cities. There will also be an explanation of Kvothe’s story and how it got to where he is now.

The Doors of Stone: Release Date
Earlier it was expected that the third book will be out by 2019, but it didn’t. But the most awaited book will surely be out by August 2020. Although it is to be seen whether the publishers keep with their date as Rothfuss is busy with his series Rick and Morty, which too is extremely awaited.
