The rising of the shield hero is finally confirmed to have a second season & the Release Date was Announced a couple of days back. The official twitter account of The Rising Of The Sheild Hero has announced on 2nd September 2019 about the news of production. There is also good news for the fans. On the same day, they also declared the third season is confirmed to be in production. In the event of Crunchyroll expo 2019, the management surprised the audience by revealing the synopsis.
The synopsis revealed by the streaming service- It seems that our main lead, Naofumi, is going to go through many unpleasant situations. The second season will test Naofumi and his teammates quiet a lot. They will, on top, gain a new set of enemies to deal with. Our Shield hero, Raphtalia, and Filo will meet people who are on a similar side as them.
The other three of the members will get to interact with a turtle who carries a town on its back. Naofumi and his companions will have to fight to carry on their journey in Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari. The plot of the second season will pick back right from the end of the first one.
By the time the first season ended, Naofumi had adorned to the role of a hero pretty well. Therefore, he goes to other regions to safeguard them from the waves. Since the waves represent the strength of the other heroes, it’s a challenging task. Although the cliffhanger was an apparent dead end, it assures us Naofumi is strong enough to give a good fight.

The release date of the second season is yet to be declared by the management. Most probably, it will drop no earlier than 2021.
