This series got a great response from the audience and critics as well; it holds a 77% rating by Rotten Tomatoes. And some of the critics also compared the series with the X-Men series, which is quite high praise.
The Umbrella Academy Season 2 Story Line
Since Netflix is not following the same storyline as the comics do, we can expect that it should be unpredictable.
Umbrella Academy Season 2 may entertain us more than Season 1.
As for the storyline at the end of season 1, we saw that Hargeeves kids traveled back in time with the help of five’s power; we expect it just continues from there again.

The Umbrella Academy Season 2 Characters & Cast
We can expect the Grown-up versions of the Hargreeves siblings to be back in season 2.
This means for the sure return of Tom Hopper, David Castaneda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aiden Gallagher, Justin H Min, and Ellen Page.
But some new characters are also likely to be seen—Ritu Arya as Lila. Yusuf Gatewood is going to be seen as Raymond, and Marin Ireland is expected to be seen as Sissy.
Other than these characters, others are yet to be confirmed to be seen in the second season.
The Umbrella Academy Season 2 Release Date
It is being said that the filming of the second season began in June 2019 and wrapped up on November 23, 2019. And then there is editing to be done.
So, we can expect anytime in 2020. Still, no confirmed released date announced yet. But definitely, it will not be delayed more than somewhere in 2020.
