“Sherlock” is a British crime TV series created by ‘Mark Gatiss’ and ‘Steven Moffat’ based on the fiction Sherlock Holmes written by ‘Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’ The British Network BBC produces the series along with Hartswood Films. The show starred Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Dr. John Watson with 13 episodes altogether and consisted of four seasons.
The series is well-known for its action, production, script, and direction. The third series has become one of the most-watched web-series in the U.K and is nominated for several awards. Sherlock has won three awards in the categories of the 66th edition of the Primetime Emmy Awards.

In all the previous seasons, Benedict Cumberbatch is seen playing the role of Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, played by Martin Freeman and is expected to be a part of the next season also. It is said that Mark Gattis could be seen, and the cast is not confirmed yet!!
Release Date
Sherlock’s sequel is said to be released in 2022 as soon as possible, British network BBC doesn’t want Sherlock to be out of their projects. Sherlock will be launched between 2022-23 with our favorite stars back on the show.

The stars and the creators are currently busy with other projects, and the launch of Sherlock is delayed! The finale of season 4 didn’t create a good impact and made the viewers unhappy! But the end showed the best things that the stars could do – solving the cases instead of getting into problems.
In season 5, Sherlock and his friends may be found solving the cases as they did in the very first season. There’s a minimum gap of one year or one and a half years between the release of the series.
