Chadwick Boseman will feature in Black Panther 2 and Avengers 5
MCU is diversifying its content, and everyone is not happy with this decision. Black Panther, the 2018 marvel movie, was a smash hit at the Box-Office and collected one billion dollars.
Chadwick Boseman, who portrays King T’Challa and Black Panther was praised for his performance. Black Panther first appeared in Captain America: Civil War and thereafter in Avengers 3 and 4 in a small role.
A New Female Black Panther?
However, recent developments have made the future of Chadwick Boseman at MCU uncertain. Rumors are being floated that to diversify, MCU and Kevin Feige may replace existing male Black Panther with a female. Fans may see a female Black Panther played by actress Letitia Wright.
Letitia Wright portrayed Shuri, the younger sister of King T’Challa, and a brilliant scientist in the 2018 film. But this may happen after a considerable period because it is confirmed that Chadwick Boseman will return as Black Panther in Black Panther 2. Besides that, it has also been confirmed that he will be a member of Team Avengers in Avengers 5.
Black Panther is a mantle.
Things are not so bad at MCU that Chadwick Boseman will just throw the towel, but there are reports that he is unhappy and feels sidelined. While these are just rumors which has no basis but a Marvel Producer said the following about Black Panther.
“One thing I like to tell Ryan [Coogler] is, the Black Panther is a mantle as much as it is a person, so we’re not restricted by anything, because the truth is, there’s a lot of different ways to go back to Wakanda and have a good time and continue to explore the themes that made the first film so resonant.”
The above statement indicates that rumors may not be entirely wrong just too early.
Black Panther 2 Release date, and Who is coming back?
Black Panther 2 will hit the theatres on 6th May 2022. In addition to Boseman, Letitia Wright and Martin Freeman will reprise their respective roles. Moreover, Director-Writer Ryan Coogler will also return.
