Devilman Crybaby Season 2 is a Japanese Anime based on Go Nagai’s Manga series Devilman. The show is produced by Aniplex and Dynamic Planning and directed by Masaaki Yuasa. The show featured 10 episodes, all of them releasing on January 5, 2018. In this article, we’ll speculate about season 2 of the show.
Devilman Crybaby Season 2 Storyline
The protagonist of Devilman Crybaby Season 2 is Akira Fudo who lives with his crush Miki Makimura and her family, which includes her brother Taro and parents Noel and Akiko. His longtime friend Ryo Asuka tells him that his recent journey into the heart of the Amazon rainforest revealed the existence of demons and the governments of the world are trying to suppress the latest information. They both try to expose the government efforts, only for Akira to get possessed by Amon, a demon. This leads Akira to transform into Amon’s demon form.
The existence of demons gets exposed, resulting in mass hysteria, Ryo himself exposes the existence of demons. An enraged mob attacks Miki, believing her to be a demon, which results in her death. Akira confronts Ryo, only to find out that he is actually Satan. A fight ensues between Akira and Satan, which Satan wins. After that Satan destroys the entire earth and decides to talk to Akira, only to realize that Akira has also died, leaving Satan in tears. In the end, angels descend upon the earth and reform them.
Devilman Crybaby Season 2 Official Announcement
The studios have not officially announced a second season so far. The ending also seemed like a final note. But the fans of the show can be hopeful, as the manga frequently destroys the earth only to reset and start all over again. So we might get a new season, albeit with new characters and story, in other words, a spin-off.

Devilman Crybaby Season 2 Release Date
The Release Date of Devilman Crybaby Season 2 has not been officially announced. But, if season 2 is coming, we are expecting it to come somewhere around late 2021 to early 2022.
