Fleabag is a British comedy-drama written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The show has achieved the rare scoring of 100% on rotten tomatoes and an IMDb score of 8.7. The show has had 2 seasons so far, with 6 episodes in each season. The initial season premiered on 21st July 2016 to 25 August 2016, and the next season airing from 4 March 2019 to 8 April 2019. And now fans are expecting Fleabag Season 3 to release very soon.
Fleabag Season 3 Storyline
The basic gist of the show is Fleabag roaming throughout London and letting Life happens as it goes on. At the end of the show, she gets dumped by the Arsehole Guy and comes to know that Harry has a new lover now. Add to that, Martin convinces Claire that Fleabag was the one to make the move at the party. She contemplates suicide, luckily the Bank Manager sees her and stops her, after listening to her full story. He decides to offer her a business loan to open a cafe.
At the zenith of the second season, Fleabag gives Godmother the stolen sculpture, Martin gets to know about Claire’s miscarriage through her. At the last moments of the show, Fleabag and the Priest confess their love to each other, but The Priest has chosen faith over her, and they move on to their separate ways.
Fleabag Season 3 Announcement
While fans are hoping and waiting for some announcement of Season 3, Phoebe-Waller Bridge’s negative attitude towards it, has made some fans lose their hopes. Here’s what she said about Season 3 when asked about by BBC. “I have thought about it and there isn’t going to be one.
This is it—this is the final curtain.” She has been insistent on her words, when she said denied the new season, albeit raising some hopes when she said “I feel like it’s done, but I do have a fantasy of bringing her back when I’m, like, 45 or 50. She went on the biggest journey over the past two seasons, and she started as someone who sort of hated herself and ended up as someone believing that she could love again and forgive herself. I have to respect that arc and let her go and live for a bit.” She, later on, said in the same interview “the reasons to end never felt as guttural as they do now,” adding, “I’m a big follower of the old gut.”
Fleabag Cast
No, the cast has been confirmed by so now. But if season 3 comes back, then Phoebe Waller-Bridge as the titular protagonist Fleabag would surely be back, because the show has been created and written by her. Other cast members would be difficult to predict, as it depends on whether the show comes back. As Phoebe Waller-Bridge said that she would love to bring back the character when she is 45 or 50, that would be like 2030 or 2035. At the point, most of the cast members would have moved on to other things. If it miraculously gets renewed somewhere around the corner, then we can expect most of them to come back.

As already said, Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been cynical towards Season 3. She said that she would love to create it when she is 45-50, that would mean 2030 or 2035. So the best bet would be somewhere around that corner. So as of now, there is no confirmation about the new season.
